Since It is almost Fall I have gotten my pumpkin itch coming back; I love all things pumpkin and I love to bake. It is still averaging 90 degrees out here in New York however it’s almost September and I feel like that is when the pumpkin craving starts. I have already bought two large cans of pumpkin puree so I know what’s about to happen.
I love Autumn it is my favorite season by far; cool but not cold, sweaters, pumpkin, leaves changing colors, crisp air, pumpkin, long sleeves, Halloween, pumpkin, pumpkin and pumpkin! All the great things that come with the season! Luckily I’m not in school anymore otherwise I would probably feel like Fall was not as great because I would be going back to school (even though I did not mind that much when I was in school because I was a bit of a nerd).
When I was younger my mom taught me and my older brother how to cook, we used to make a bunch of organic, sugar-free cookies and things (she was really into being healthy back then) and it was really fun. That was when I was first really interested in making things in the kitchen, and then I did an internship when I was seventeen in a five-star restaurant. I learned so much stuff about cooking, the best part was the time I spent with the pastry chef making different deserts. I loved all the things they taught me while I was there and for a while all I wanted to do was to be a pastry chef.
So in celebration of the pumpkin season I am going to post here some of my favorite pumpkin recipes! I am going to be putting the recipes and instructions that I use for a few things: pumpkin cheesecake bread, mini pumpkin pie, and pumpkin cheesecake! If I make any other pumpkin recipes I will post them on my blog as well.
Let me know what you think, try them out, let me know! Pictures will be coming this weekend after all the baking happens!
